Tom Clauer serves as group director for the West group of DistribuTech, reporting to the CEO of PRIMEDIA. In this role, Clauer provides overall management support for the DistribuTech team and oversees daily operations, budget planning, forecasting and financial management.

Clauer joined DistribuTech in 1998 and during his tenure has served as the Inland Empire general manager, Los Angeles general manager, Northwest regional director and Western United States group director.

Prior to joining the company, Clauer was a district sales manager for Gannett Company, Inc. from 1995 to 1997 where he oversaw the sales and circulation of USA Today. During his tenure, Clauer was responsible for growing circulation in Southern California through retail improvements and product allocation efficiencies.

Previous to his employment at Gannett Company, Inc., Clauer was an account executive and an on-road supervisor for United Parcel Service from 1991 to 1995.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of La Verne.

Don Karbowski is currently group director for the East group for DistribuTech. In this role, he directly oversees the operations of four regions and multiple national client accounts, reporting directly to the CEO. His responsibilities include managing the goals of the division, protecting the best interests of DistribuTech’s vendors and clients, and meeting the needs of PRIMEDIA publications and third-party titles.

Karbowski began his career with DistribuTech in 1999 as a general manager for the Omaha/Lincoln market. Karbowski has been promoted several times during his tenure with DistribuTech beginning with his promotion to the Austin general manager role in 2000, to the Mid-south regional director position in 2001 and then to the Central regional director role in 2005.

Rodney Barton joined DistribuTech in 1996 as the Eastern national account manager. Prior to joining DistribuTech, Barton spent eight years in various positions with Black & Decker.

As a National Account Manager with DistribuTech, Barton developed significant relationships with the company’s vendors and successfully negotiated distribution contracts. Due to his substantial efforts, Barton was promoted in January 2004 to his current position as vice president, National Accounts. Barton has successfully overseen all national accounts within DistribuTech for the past six years.
